Default checking in

Hey everyone. I just joined the forum last week. In that short time I have already received help from a few of you and I greatly appreciate it. I just wanted to introduce myself and also get some info. I live in the inland empire in southern ca. For those of you who live in southern cali. You know exactly where that is. I just puchased a 2001 scr 24000. Have taken it out twice and I am very excited about the boat. I am retiring in a couple of months and plan on spending a lot of time on the boat with my wife. The boat has a completely rebuilt engine and drive. As you can imagine I will have a lot of questions. I am not new to boating, but I am new to this type of boat. I am also very safety conscious. So when it comes to that. I like to be informed. So if anyone of you lives near by (Rancho cucamonga, Fontana, Upland, etc) drop me a line if you don"t mind and I willkeep the contact info. I promise I won"t be bothering a lot. Just contact you directly if I need some advice. I am going to try to make catalina runs once I feel more comfortable. so if in the future you do that and you dont mind a second vessel to shadow you . Please let me know. Thank you

Hey barovj Welcome to the forum. I have the same boat here in Marin County, California just north of San Francisco. Mine is only a 1995 but re powered with a Mercruiser 350 Horizon. You will love this boat as it is just the right size and extremely sea worthy. I have been in the roughest waters in S.F. Bay and it never let me down.....

Thanks Calguy. Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier, I was on vacation and didn't have access to email. I love the boat although I only been out two times . If you don't mind I will contact you if I have any questions . Thanks again.

This goes against the concept of a forum. Please feel free to post questions to to the community. It is in your best interest to get input from a variety of sources.

Taking content away from the forum weakens to concept of a forum.

Welcome aboard Barovj!!!!
