Default Brand new boat owner pt2

Since buying our first boat a few weeks ago, my husband and I have totally fallen in love with just everything about it. Coming from the biker community, or lack there of in our case, it has been such a different world! Everyone has been so nice and welcoming. Being able to have our kids out there learning and playing with us. I am a water baby, always have been, so are my kids, so we have just been having such a blast. The maxum we gir has been nothing short of perfect. I have found that I am pretty much a badass when it comes to maneuvering the boat in and out of the marina and around the river, fir it being my first summer ever driving a boat. Toot toot! Haha.

Hope everyone has been enjoying their summer as much as we have been this year! The season hasn't even ended yet and I already cant wait for next summer!

Sounds like a great start to a fun lifestyle - I'd just toss in two quick thoughts. If you haven't yet, ensure you've completed the required boating safety classes for your state and have checked in with your local power squadron or CG Auxiliary and gotten a free vessel safety inspection. Second - feel confident in what you're doing, but always remember your limits and keep in mind that it only takes a check book to be out on the water so NEVER assume that other boat has a clue about what they're doing and are your worst nightmare about to happen until they prove otherwise.

Oh yea we did that safety course before we even bought the boat! Same rules apply when out on the bikes. We are very aware of our surroundings at all times. Also we dont have to go very far from our marina to get out anywhere, only like a 5 minute drive in any direction. We are getting more and more comfortable every time. We definitely keep a great distance from all other things moving haha. Thank you for the advice!
