Default bennett trim tabs size for 2600 sc?

I have looked around at a few sites and I'm curious what size any 2600 owners are using? Are they a must or nice to have? I think it would be nice to balance out the boat with people sitting on one side and quicker to plane off?

My mistake it's a 2300SC

personally I think it's a must have...all 3 of my boats had trim tabs...on 2 of them I installed the auto trim tab controls and those are definitely worth the effort...

It rather depends on the boat and where you boat. But you are correct, they help balance the boat side to side and allow it to get on, and stay on, plane at a slower speed (thus getting on plane faster). Another major benefit is that tabs can help smooth the ride in choppy water.

I just installed Bennetts this past spring and there is a thread on it in the "Projects" forum. For your 2300 SC, which is similar in size and weight to my 2400 SC3, you will want either the 18X9's or the 12X12's. Basically, you need the largest tabs you can fit. Because I keep my boat on the trailer most of the time I only had space for 12X12's because of the trailer tie downstraps.

I learned a lot when I installed mine. Let me know if you have any questions.

I went with 12X12 w/ integrated switch, includes indicator and auto retracts tabs with ignition off. Install was fairly easy done in few hours. Other then squeezing into the back for the hydrolic lines. Finally figured out Port side adjustments are indicated on the starboard side indicator and vice versa. I thought I wired something wrong at first but that's how they work. I shopped around online and found a good price around $500 and arrived in 2 days. Boats should just come with tabs...so far so good and seems to do everything they claim. Pic installed.
