Default alarm

My 2002 scr Maxim alarm sounds approximately every 3 mins. It is not the stern drive monitor, total tune was performed two day ago, runs very strong,is there a alarm reset?

No reset.

In addition to the lube reservior, oil pressure and water temperature will set the alarm off. Try disconnect each of these switches one at a time until the problem goes away then you will know what to address.

Had you noticed anything abnormal with any gauge, especially those 2 oil psi, temp? What model and engines?

So it seems that the alarm would be on while ignition is on and motor not running, right? Then when running it is off mostly but then periodically it sounds for how long? Is that both at idle and higher rpm?

Prior to tune up it was fine? What all was done ?

I have attached the Mercruiser warnings matrix.
Check according your engine model/year.

Any way, and because you should do it periodically, double check engine oil level (for both low and too high level - too high is also a bad choice), drive lube reservoir and battery power. Also check engine temperature and oil pressure gauges when warning starts.

It should be a minor warning since if you have critically low level oil (<3 or 4 psi), for instance, engine stops (oil pressure switch switches fuel pump energy off).

Cheers!
