Default 98 scr 3000 hose (whats it for ) question

Hi Gang
IN the engine compartment of my 98 scr 3000 there is a hose. Someone has plugged it with silicone but i dont know why or what it was for, or where it goes. Its the white hose used for water/sewage and about 1 1/2" in dia & its on the port side of the boat. It comes from forward of the bulkhead in the engine room & comes out under the sub floor between the left stringer & the port side of the boat. There is a cut out in this sub floor & looking into it, this can be seen. Anyone know why or what its for?
Thanks
Timer

Timer,
sounds like it may be an old waste line from the head. It may have been replaced but couldn't easly remove old hose. As Shrew asked is he head working? A picture would help here.

It doesn't have a black hose going into it does it? That is your fuel line if so.

Id' expect that the fuel tank will be exposed in the engine compartment and the fuel line connector, fuel fill and fuel guage sender to all be clearly visible and accessible. I've never seen a white fuel line, but there is much in teh world I have yet to see. i've seen the hose used as conduit to act line a chase for fishing line, but ther would be no point in sealing it with caulk.

I fully suspect this to be sanitation line. However, it is usually much easier to pull old hose out than push new hose in. Especially when there is already another hose already there. This is why I'm curious whether the head works.

Still no pics guys., Sorry. I have led you astray. This does not appear to be a sanatation hose upon a closer look. There are three sanation hoses endering the engine bay between the center stringers. One goes to a macerator (starboard near stern) , one goes to the deck pump out fitting (starboard) & one is the fresh water feed going to the deck fitting (starboard). The hose in question is white but is coated with the epoxy when they painted the inside of the hull. It is also ribbed which is more consistant with a bilge hose or a drain hose. I first thought it was from the step drain in the cockpit prior to going into the cabin. Ill still try to get a pic & will flush .
Thanks

I assume your boat does not have A/C / Heat? They run the cooling hose through this. Post a picture to verify but sounds like where my A/C water line goes through.

Also for pictures on forums, I always upload to photobucket then insert them to the forum.

Has nothing to do with fuel lines/tanks as previously mentioned. The tanks for this boat are located on the port & stbd sides of the aft cabin. Not fun to access.
