Lawnman see sheet 19 on the manual located at the home page of this site. It shows where the unit is located but not the duct runs. Did you try looking at other 2800s on yachtworld to see if any pictures show the vent outlets?

maybe someone will chime in with more.

Good luck

I have a 1997 2800. The A/C unit is located beneath the V berth. The air intake is in the aft bulkhead of the vberth, right in the companionway. The control panel is in the same location. There are two outlets. One outlet is in the standing locker Fwd of the galley on the port side and it blows forward into the v berth. The other outlet is at the foot of the midcabin directly below the stairs going into the cabin hatch from the cockpit. The duct work runs along the port side behind the galley and standing lockers.

I hope this makes sense. I don't have any diagrams or pictures available.

Shrew if I am following you correctly then it's similar to the SCR 3000 as shown on page 23 of the same manual I mentioned before.

It may be that we're not all looking at the same document.

The one I'm looking is this one. This looks like it is for 2000. i couldn't find a 97 or a 98.

http://www.maxumownersclub.com/forum/site_files/manuals/maxum/2000/2000%202400SCR%202800SCR%203000SCR%203300SCR.pdf

The 2800SCR A/C Water Routing is on page #25.
The 2800SCR Duct Routing is on page #29.

Both are the same as on my 97 2800.

Same document. I was going by page number on the sheet of the manual and not the viewer page number, there is ~ 6pages different.

are you installing a new unit for $1,500.00 that are smaller and better then the original, or a used unit?

The new one are way more simpler, and come with instructions.
