When I bought me 2400scr the fridge was out and the space was being used for storage. I was contemplating on installing a small dorm fridge for the interim while I'm doing some other projects in need of attention (nice boat just neglected by previous owner). I know it would be ac only but most use would be at the marina for cold beer and soda.
If it's only for cold beer and soda, then a cooler with ice would be cheaper. I personally wouldn't bother with an interim fix like this. I would either replace it, or leave it until I'm ready to replace it.
