Default '94 2400SCR engine won't lower

I tried to lower engine, but it just makes a sound with no movement at all when using trim tab. Any idea what would be preventing it from going down.

try to spin your prop by hand first. Had this after changing the impellor.
when in trailer position things like this seem to happen.

I think you're saying that the outdrive is stuck in trailer position and won't trim down, if so, have someone trim it down while you assist by pushing down manually. You can push hard and even sit on swim platform and use your feet. Next time, you may want to put a drop of oil on each strut to prevent sticking. Also, trim the outdrive down if the boat is going to sit for a while, reduces strain on trim struts and keeps the lower unit gears in oil.

It's best to store the boat with the outdrive in the down position so that the bellows are in their least stressing position and prevents water from collecting in the center hub which can freeze and crack the unit.

What sound are you hearing, click (solniod) or whir (pump)? If pump then you try to assist the unit down by pushing down where the rams attach (not on the caviatation pate, it may crack) with you weight. Sometimes a block of wood and hammer are required. Worst case is rebuild/replace the rams. If only click noise then either bad solniod or pump.
