2900 scr

Hi all,
I’m thinking of upgrading to a Maxum 2900 or 3000SCR with twin 4.3 v6 engines.

This would be used mainly for pottering up and down the non tidal river Thames which has a 5 knot speed limit, I know the engines are happy running at about 1500rpm all day as I currently have an 1800sr3 which does this.

My question is does the 2900 wonder around at slow speeds needing constant steering corrections?

Any other advice on using the boat like this also welcomed.

Yes..

All planing hulls have some wonder at displacement speed however if you’re looking at dual engines especially if they have Bravo 3 drives the wondering will be reduced.
