It is a question, mine has Alpha One Gen II, stock 5.7. I know there's a ton of info regarding prop choices, like what are you after better top speed or quicker to plane, RPM at WOT etc.

Mine is a 4 blade aluminum 14" used in fresh/saltwater and all around activities from cruising to skiing. Don't know the pitch, came with the boat...

I was mostly looking for what other owners experienced first hand with the same exact boat with different props.

I have a 2000 2300SC, 5.7L (250HP), Alpha I Gen II (1:47 gear), WOT is 4500 rpm, 14 1/2" X 17P 3 blade AL prop. Max GPS speed = 39 mph (2 people w/ 40 gals of fuel and bimini down. I also have the same prop in a 19P but I'm unable to get rpm over 4200. I have tried everything to get to the 40 mph mark but I believe this model boat with the 5.7L is maxed out at 39 unfortunately. Let me know if you come up with any tricks to get the speed up.

Henry, knowing that my 2400 SC3 with the 300 HP 5.7 and B3 drive will hit 50 I'm pretty confidant that your 2300 with the 250 HP 5.7 should top out around 45. I think my 2004 2400 is a little heavier than your 2300

I found this with a little searching. Note that the boat 2300 they tested also has the 5.7 and I assume it's the 250 HP version. They list the top end at 45 ish.

I had the 14.5X19P 3 Blade. Was a little too low in the RPM so I just put on a 15X17P 3 Blade. I'll post back with results soon.

The 15X17 seemed a little shallow. Was getting too high with the revs. I put a 14X19 SS and it seems much better. If you're looking for top end, you may be able to use a 21P if you don't plan on pulling any tubes or skiers.

The 14X19P seems to be the right one for me. Puts me at 4600RPM at WOT w/ 2 adults and full fuel tank. 25MPH cruise at 3000RPM and 41MPH at 4600.
