Default 2300 SC Fresh water pump help.

Hello All,
I am trying to figure out why my fresh water pump is not pressurizing the system. I don't even hear anything coming on. Can anyone tell me where this is at on the boat, how to access it, or what the issue may be. I am going down to check the fuses after work, but someone at the dock said it could be an endline fuse. Still trying to figure out the nuances with the boat but loving it so far. Thanks for any help I can get. Hope everyone is having a great week.

Never mind...I used my brain for a second and looked at the old post on here. I guess I need to check my resources before posting...LOL. Love this site! Thanks

I think you meant INline fuse....it's the fuse that is on the power lead ..probably a blade type around 5-10 amp rating.....

so..did you find out what is wrong??

I did, I got down into the water pump, but.......when I pulled the blue covered box up (access) I found the middle area full of water. I would guess somewhere in the 40 gallon mark. Completely covered the water pump so I'm going to replace that and check on the fuses after. The drain pipe from this area to the engine bay was clogged and when it was in the shipyard and storage prior we had heavy rains. It was all fresh water in there. I cleared the drain line and got all of the water out and cleaned up the entire area. Lots of dirty, leaves and other crap. The drain hole from in the floor right in front of the door into the cabin does not have a screen on it so that will be fixed as well to keep debris out. I hope all that makes sense. The boat actually sits about 2 inches higher in the water now! So all is dried out and cleaned and a new fresh water pump is going to be put in and we should be good to go.

Sorry for my sloppy writing tonight. I'm in the Army and today was a very long day at work. In the 20 hour range, but I couldn't go to sleep without checking in. Good night all.

Wow, you estimate there was 40 gallons in there Scott? That's a helluva lot of water.

Your boat suffered some serious water weight gain - to the tune of about 330 pounds, or roughy equivalent to one beefy friend.

Just think how much quicker it will be without hauling around all that extra weight!
