Default 1998 2400 SCR Cockpit Cushions

I don't know if this the correct forum to post this question, but I am close to making an offer on this boat. (I would then be a first time boat buyer!) One of the main things bothering me is that the cockpit upholstery has been painted. I see relatively little damage in the vinyl though.

I really need a realistic idea on the cost to re-cover the cushions at some point down the road, maybe within a year or so. I am relatively impressed with the cabin layout and comfort for such a small boat, so I am hoping that the cost of reupholstery down the road won't be a deal breaker.

Thanks in advance!

I would take some photos to a shop that does re-cover cushions and ask for a price to redo them .It would be a closer price to go on .good luck

Hello, Amajamar, Welcome Aboard!!!

If the uphostry is in good condition, and just ugly, you could alwasy postpone reupholstering. It will be costly, but not insurmountable. Talk to a local marine upholsterer about what it would cost to reupholster the cockpit. I'm not sure what it would cost. I'm going to need to replace mine next year, but hoping to get ONE MORE season out of it.

Sorry for not replying sooner!

I redid all the cockpit cushions for my 2300SCR (same boat). I got all the skins from the company which US Marine sold all the patterns to. It was $500 for everything - and it looks showroom-new/factory original!

I'll dig up the name of the place if you need.

Hey guys, I just bought a 1998 2400 SCR and I would like the name of the place you had your cushions redone if you could. Thanks,
Jason
