1997 Maxum 2400scr with trailer new purchase

Hello all - I saw this forum and thought I would sign on and make a post... I just purchased today (but not picking up for 2 weeks) a 1997 Maxum 2400scr..it has some bottom paint that is a little faded, and the outdrive looks like it needs paint also... these look more like cosmetic issues, but I wonder what should I do for getting ready to use... I will never use in salt water, but boat was used previously in salt water...Previous owners regularily maintained according to the marinas suggestions ( money was not an option it sounds like) so there are new risers, manifolds, new water pump, etc... reccomendations for maintenance - also has a 3 blade stainless prop - is there something better? not necessarily looking for speeds - just best gas mileage for cruising... Any help or suggested sites would be greatly appreciated... thank you in advance!
