Default 1995 Maxum 2400 SCR anchor storage

Hey guys,

Just got a 95 Maxum 2400 SCR, single Merc 4.3, alpha one. I haven't had it on the water yet, but I have a question about the anchor storage. It currently has a danforth style anchor, but it doesn't seem to work in the pulpit. Even with the line tight the anchor flops around under the pulpit and is damaging the boat. Is it meant to have a quickset style? I don't like the idea of having to remove the anchor and store it elsewhere on the boat, Id like to utilize the pulpit.I looked online but I cant find an answer.

Thanks!

Welcome aboard

I have a dansforth and it moves a little but no damage. There was some there when I got the boat. How much damage are you talking?

On my 1990 2755SCR, I hold my Danforth securely and safely in place with a flat solid rubber bungee cord. It is easy to disconnect when you want to drop anchor, and holds the anchor secure to the bow cleat.

Is there a cleat in your anchor locker? You should be able to cinch it tight.
