Default 1992 maxum 2300scr fridge

Hey everyone! New to the forum, and loving all the info I'm getting. I got a 92 Maxum 2300scr last year. It's in great shape but I've been updating it slowly. My fridge needs to be replaced cause the last one was completely out of freon and it had electrical problems( feed back that fried my stereo, inverter and battery charger) and I'm in the process of taking it apart just to get it out through the cabin door. It's been a pain in the ass and I was wondering if it's going to be just as hard getting the new fridge I need back in. Any tips would help a lot!!!

Also, the gas pistons for the engine cover are shot including the hinges where the connect. Any videos or info would help greatly!! Thanks

I don't know enough about this model regarding getting the frig through the cabin entryway but typicall removing the door gives most the clearance required.

When the boat was built all the cabin components were installed prior to the upper hull installation.

The gas lifts for the engine cover should have a part number on them which an auto store may have as they are used on car hoods as well. You can also Google the number to find them on line.

Thanks for responding. In order to get the fridge out I need to remove door and all external components on the back of the fridge.

I think this company did the original gas struts for Brunswick - https://www.asraymond.com/

As Mike says, the local auto supply store may be the easiest route.

Much of the boat's systems are all installed before they marry the deck to the hull. They didn't need to disassemble the fridge when it went in.

Think of it this way. You're taking the 'EASY' route. I'd rather disassemble the fridge than the boat.

Love surrounding myself with "glass 1/2 full" kind of folks 😀
