Default Thinking of trading my Chaparral for a Maxum

So I am looking at getting rid of My Chaparral 1800SL and getting a 2003 Maxum 1900SR. It has the 5.0 Merc EFI. Tell me all the reasons why I will like this boat so much better. It is newer and has a larger engine then what I have but what else?
Thanks.

I have a 2006 1900 SR3 with a 5.0 litre MPI Mercruiser. I love my boat!
I nearly bought an 1800 SR3 with the 4.3 litre motor....glad we bought the bigger one. The extra length isn't so noticeable but the extra beam is really nice. The interior feels so much roomier with the extra beam. I also really like the sport seating (bench across the back) and the large sunpad.
Our boat came with a factory tower, bimini, bow cover and cockpit cover.
It's great for pulling skiers, wakeboarders and tubers.
It's also great for hanging out with friends and listening to tunes (I added an amp, two 6.5 inch speakers and two 8 inch speakers).
The boat takes a pretty good chop but shines on flat water.

I think it's a great choice!

I am very pleased with my 2008 1900 SR3 with 4.3L. Perfect size for admiral and I. Small enough that I can launch and retrieve solo. Plenty fast for my needs. Fully equipped. Swim platform might just be my favorite part of the boat.

Good luck!

I have the 1800SR-3 and while we've enjoyed it we always regretted not getting the 1900 or even the 2100 for the wider beam and larger, deeper bow. But I bought a fully optioned 1800 for less than what they wanted for the bare bones 1900 with the 5.0lt.
My sister has the 1900 and passengers in the bow feel 'safer' than those who ride in my bow. I've been happy with the 4.3. Hard to tell the difference between the 4.3 and the carbed 5.0 actually.
Chaparral is a quality boat. You'll probably feel you downgraded if you go with the Maxum depending on the year you have and what you are considering moving into. New Chaparrals are awesome boats.
