Default Rpm gauge

My RPM Gauge does not drop down to 0 . It starts at 1000 RPM and goes up or down from that number any idea why.

Thanks Mark

It's old and sticking. Faria made the gauge. They have a limited lifetime warranty. You can send it to them to have them service it, or buy a new gauge cluster.

You can also try cleaning the connections. The gauge has a 3-pole harness that pushes on and pulls off. Pull it off, wire brush the connections and add some dielectric grease.

I had the same issue with the tach on my boat. I sent it up to them, and it's been fine ever since. Forget what the charge was...
