Could be simply that the float switch went bad. Will the bilge pump work via the dash On/Off switch?

How did you jump power to the pump to get it to work; ran positive and negative from battery to pump or jump from a local source?

Is 12V getting to the float switch? If yes when the switch is lifter does 12V come out the other wire?

However since the pump isn’t working from either the float or helm I would assume it’s either the positive or negative connection to the pump that’s open.

There should be 2 positive and a shared ground. One positive will be hot. That goes to the float switch. The other positive will come from the bilge switch on the dash. That should go directly to the pump itself.

Are both the circuits not working? Have you tried a voltmeter?

Is it possible to be a bit more detailed in your responses?
