Default Advanced accelerlation button

On my throttle there is a button that says advanced acceleration on it. I have a 2001 Maxum 2100SD. Anybody have any idea what this is for? I checked my owners manual but it says nothing about it. It's in a spot where this is a button for choking the engine on my other boats. Is that all this is on this boat as well? Thanks.

I'm not sure which button your talkin about ...is the button that releases the transmission to allow the throttle to go into neutral ...??...ie the bottom of the shifter???...

maybe a pic will help....

No, not that one Seapup. That one is up at the handle of my shifter. You lift up on that to slide into neutral. This is down where the shifter actually pivots. This is a button you push in. On my other boats this is the location where if you wanted to rev the engine, and not have it move, you would push in on this button. But never heard it called advanced throttle or anything like that. I'll just try it out this weekend and see what it is. I'm guessing it's going to be the same thing. Just wasn't sure if anyone knew for sure.
