Default 2006 1800 sr3

I just got this boat today , tried to start it it fired up but soon i I take the key off crank it dies does anyone have wiring diagrams for maxum boats . it is a 4.3l carb boat

Definitely download the manual (#25) and look at the troubleshooting guides in section 1. I recommend that you start on page 1C-9 "Engine Cranks Over But Will Not Start or Starts Hard". Many times a tuneup fixes problems (new wires, plugs, distributor cap, rotor, coil). Spark plug analysis will give you a lot of info. There are so many potential causes, just start eliminating them one at a time and you'll get it running.

Welcome aboard.

This engine has an electric fuel pump that gets power from the starter solenoid when starting then an oil pressure switch once running. Most likely the oil pressure switch is bad. It is located on the port rear of the engine just above the oil filter/adapter on the block. Try removing the two wire and jumping them together to see if it will stay running, if so replace the switch.
