I'm not aware of a cabin heater being an OEM option. I know there is reverse cycle AC/Heat. A cabin heater using engine coolant does exist but was installed by a previous owner and there may be a inline shut off valve but you'll need to trace the lines to find out.

I've never seen a cabin heater tied to the engine, like an automobile. Heat is typically tied to the reverse cycle heat/AC system. However, even those come with both heat and AC or AC only.

Heater coils makes it sound like it's an electric heater.

Water Heaters come in two models as well. Electric only, or Electric and engine cooling. The engine cooling models will have 1/2 exhaust hoses going from the engine heat exchanger to the waster heater.

If you have hoses to the water heater, but still not getting hot, then make sure the antifreeze is bled properly. Sometimes when you do a engine coolant change, it won't cycle through the water heater without bleeding the system.

Bleeding the AF system typically requires removing the radiator cap on the heat exchanger while the engine is cold. Standby with some AF. Start the engine and warm up the engine. As the fluid level drops, add fluid and keep topping off.

You need to have the engine running at the time as the coolant will not stay warm very long with the engine off.
I have a 2400 SCR with a cabin heater and that is the only way to get heat.

What type of heater is in your cabin? Reverse Cycle, Electric, or something that runs off of the engine??

Wow, that has limited application. So to have heat, you'd have to sit at the dock with your engine running?

It was on the boat when I bought it.
We have not used it, but to try it out.
would only be good if you had the bridge all closed in and where going somewhere IMO.
