Default 1997 1900 sr windshield glasss popping out of frame?

Hi folks... I have been lurking for a wile now but now I need some help a second time... my port side windshield glass is popping out of the frame at the ben that goes around the frame at the bottom... there is a 1/8" gap about 18" long and I want to fix it before it moves more and possibly breaks.
my question is it going to be as straight forward as I think as removing the frame of the boat hull (hopefully giving the frame enough flex) and popping it back into the rubber gasket and frame and re mount?

Thanks for any help you guys have!!
Brian

Welcome Brian!

Have you figured out why it is popping out? Has something shifted? I would take that side apart and rebuild it from the ground up. Without a picture this is a guess Brian. You might need new rubber or a screw has popped?

Let us know how you come out on this one.

Roger

not as of yet for sure... from the start I had noticed that it did not look like it was in there correctly... but this last time out as I was getting it ready to launch I noticed it was actually out of the gasket now... I wanted to get an idea before I started the process of removing and fixing

anybody have any info in how to remove/fix the glass in the frame??
and I figured out why it came out... when I put the cover on I run a rope from the front 2 cleats back to the ski rope attachment (to keep the cover from sagging when it rains)... well apparently I was pulling on it to much... the last time I put it on I was looking at everything carefully and noticed that when I was tightening it up I could see the frame flex... so now the cause has been found now I just need to fix the window
