Default Starboard or ????

So, I've noticed on some of (all of) the (96 3200SCR) newer boats, that instead of, (thank god!) any wood covered doors and hatches, they are using a synthetic material that resembles starboard or something.
The difference is, this stuff is super shiny and smooth.
What is this material?
Polished starboard, delrin, some other stuff?

Thanks

Are you talking about the the material on things like the locker doors on the back of the boat? If so it is just Acrylic plastic. Same thing with the cabin doors and rope lockers in the cockpit area.

I replaced mine last year with the starboard. That acrylic was original and warped a bit.
The king starboard in color "sea foam" is a great match to the dream white gel coat.
