Looks good.

Do you plan to use glass mat to glass the stringers to the hull?

A fillet should be made using stiffened epoxy to avoid a sharp coner.

Yes. Will mix resin, chopped strands and cobosil to fillet the corners. Will use 1708 to tab to the hull. After it sets up, I will need to saw the top to make level with deck floor. Then will glass over all stringers and bulkheads.

Quick update. Stringers, bulkheads and ski locker supports in and cut to size. Ready to start filleting and tabbing in all. Will put in front stringers later, they are offset and taller than deck from console to back. Probably wait till the wiring harness is in so I can use the extra room to crawl around under the console area. Took gas tank to get cleaned and pressure tested last week, waiting on them to get back to me.

Are you reusing the old harness or making a new one?

There was not much left of the old wiring. Someone stripped most of it out or cut it up. I am looking at ordering a new harness. Still researching.

Sorry about the lack of updates, life kinda gets in the way at times. All stringers in and bulkheads built. Starting to put the jigsaw puzzle of decking in.

Default Un-Chopped

Put the boat back together this weekend. I riveted the chopped section back on and fiberglassed the inside.

Coming along, any ideas on how you plan to finish the exterior?

Got the ski locker area painted with Rust-o-leum Marine paint, 5 coats. Gas tank cleaned and pressured tested and reinstalled. Main decking is glued and screwed. Will tab the decking in next. Need to order the pour foam next to get it in the bottom areas before starting on the rear seating area. Slow going but enjoyable.

All the pin stripes, cleats and decals are removed and getting ready to start sanding. Will use wet/dry 600, 1200 and 2000 to start. Started the expanding pour foam on the very bottom of the boat. (Hint...don't drill holes to close to the edge of the hull....don't ask....)

Default OPOS Update

Been busy and working on the project when I can get a few minutes. Happy with the finish that came out. 600, 1200 2000 wet dry sanding. Then rubbing compound, next a polish compound with orbital buffer and finished with a polishing compound with Teflon by hand. Got the rub rail, cleats, bars and swim platform put back on. Hooked up the gas hoses and installed a new bilge pump and hose. I started cutting out side trim pieces and rough fitting. I realized I needed to put the windshield back on before cutting the console support wood to make sure of fit. Put on, take off. A lot of this has happened. Pinstripe came in, so that will be coming up. Going with a little different color scheme than original.

Finished up the rear seating area and carpet, table, stereo and speakers installed. Put the glove box and steering console back in after adding the switch and ignition panels I found for this model on ebay (been looking for over a year). The wife started on the pin-striping and printed out the MAXUM letters on her vinyl cutting machine, very cool. Going to start on the bow area next. Need to start looking into wiring harness and seats soon.
