I wasn't happy with how secure the rail mount for my new Magma kettle grill was... No matter how tight I made the clamp, if I put too much downward pressure on the grill it would slip down and scare the crap out of me(if food was cooking, it would surely take a swim). I decided that it needed some type of easy bracing system. I bought a short length of 1/2" pvc, 45* elbow and a "T". I drilled through the elbow and filed it to fit around the rod. I held it up, cut the pvc pipe to proper length, added the "T" at the other end and VOILA!!! You could put a side of beef on that puppy and it doesn't budge... I kept checking throughout the cook to see if it cup got hot, but it was cool and sturdy. Total cost was under $5. Lol
