Default 1995 2700 SCR Manual - Electric toilet upgrade

Hi Folks, relatively new owner here. What I am trying to accomplish:
- Fish the wiring to the head.
- Tap into the fresh water line that's going to the bathroom sink, so that the toilet uses fresh water.

Where are the easiest spots in the wall to drill, in order to get to the water line (I plan to split it with a valve somehow), and to fish the wires from the helm area fuse box? I have a feeling that the water line is going to be somewhere on the lower side of the wall, close to the floor. And I think the best bet to drill a hole for the wires would be on the right wall (if you're facing the window).
I would rather not drill holes blindly. Has anyone done this or does anyone have this set up, to advise?

Would really appreciate any advice!

If you already have a toilet why are you going to use water from the water tank?

To try to reduce odor (river water doesn't smell so good).

Have you thought about making the connection in the engine compartment where you have access to the sea water pickup and freshwater lines? Be prepared to fill the freshwater tank for every trip.

Yes, that's an option, even though it looks like it might be difficult to squeeze another fresh water line in the existing opening. I guess the water part is secondary. The electrical connection is more important. If I drill a hole in the right bathroom wall, I should be able to fish a wire from the helm's fuse box to there, right?

I’m not familiar with this model so I can’t give much advice on how to wire for an electric head. On my 2400 the refrigerator is next to the head so removing it gives access to the heads sink plumbing and wiring for the shower sump. Is your 2700 similar?

I wish it were that simple on my boat. My refrigerator is on the other side, and there is no easy way to access that bathroom plumbing.

On my 2003, the backrest of the dinette bench can be removed by lifting up, which exposes an access hole to the back of the sink in the bathroom wall. Also you could check if the toilet paper holder can be removed.

Tip - Removing the corner medicine cabinet and shelf above the head provides significant access to run wires down the gunwale to the aft cabin and up to the helm and back to the engine room.

Thanks, I'll give it a closer look tomorrow.

That's it! That was perfect advice! I can't believe I overlooked those. The water lines are indeed behind the toilet paper holder. Instead of the medicine cabinet holder I decided to try another little cabinet next to it, and it provides access to wiring (just like the medicine cabinet would). Thank you very much!
