By the way - anyone know what they have hinged padded spot over engine cover? I can'y think of any reason why it is hinged?????

A picture of the hinged pad would help but my first thought is a quick inspection hatch of the engine compartment

I have an 1800sr and there's a spot under the sun pad, behind the engine cover, that the canvas and poles fit into. Without seeing exactly what you're looking at I'm not sure, but that's my first guess.

ok, saw some pictures and videos - it is supposed to flip down off top of engine covers and have cup holders. mine has no cup holders so must have rotted off or prev owner replaced. anyone have any pictures of theirs so i know what it is supposed to look like? i will add some before pictures soon.
