I am using a 10" Buffer, but a 3000 rpm Polisher would be alot faster and easier on my back and arms..lol so far its doing a good job, I finished the STBD side last night and went over a few sopts I missed on the Port side. Pool League tonight, but I am off Friday so I hope to get the Cleaner and Wax on.

I thought I could get the "MAXUM" letters off, but it seems to be a alot of work getting the pannel off. so I think that will be a project later this summer. My first thoughts are pull them off fill in the holes and get a decal .

Congrats Todd! Nice when all that work pays off.
I still haven't even gotten down to the marina to bring my boat home for its spring cleaning. Hopefully this weekend......

I am so looking forward to splashing mine. Thankfully this years boat "to do" list is pretty short aside from getting her cleaned up. Dear wife is out of town the weekend of 05/11 so I should have pleanty of time to ready the boat and drop it in that weekend.

Yeah, it is a ways out still. I need a whole weekend, two solid days, to perform its Spring cleaning and however many days necessary for whatever changes I make to it (which are few this year). Throw in my day job, yard work, house projects, messing around with the old car, etc-etc.
I'll probably be lucky to get it in by this time next month!

With the boat out on the water for 2 days now, and running Great I'd say this refurbishment is complete, even thou there is always something to fix or improve on a boat. It was/is a lot of work and Fun!!!! Looking forward to spending a lot of time on her this summer(if I can Afford the GAS!), I came up with a saying based on a song or two that I've been known to sing, "F%^k sitting on the Dock of the Bay, We're Rollin up the River". From "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay, by Ottis Redding", and "Proud Mary by Tina Turner"

They are just stuck on, heat up with a hair dryer and prize off. Did mine a few weeks ago.

2000 wet and dry Avalon discs at 1st, but found doing by hand was better (more feel) then used 3M heavy cutting compound with a lambswool pad which actually gave the finish above without any further refining, this was before the winter set in and with 2 coats of the 3M paste wax which is fantastic to apply and buff off it still looks the same today.
Went over it once and got this, can see the honeycomb type of thing still, so had to go over it again

Sorry for a mega late reply!
I got them sent over from the States (probably where you are, to the UK)
Dont know if he still does graphics but has or had them loaded ready to print and cut;
http://www.phunkingt.com/boatgraphics.htm
I copied them from another members decal and had the size reduced for my smaller boat.
