I wish you only the best.......sorry about that steve. Thought it was a recent article...........

But........why it caught my attention was...... listining to the radio this afternoon about the situation in South Carolina because of a contact talks in state of Washington. Where as the Boeing wants to move the jobs from the state of Washington to South Carolina, which of course is a right to work state.

All to familiar with this type of tactics from our big yellow god Caterpillar that is the central Illinois area. Cat moved their Tranmission plant to South Carolina.........couldn't get anyone to built them to last, back to East Peoria. The engine plant that was in Mossville has moved to Texas.

This is the right article

It is a double edged sword with this it seems.........

yep....boeing has been hit with strikes since 1996 by the IAM....they are one of the worst unions around....SPEEA (engineers union) was a paper tiger until we all went out on strike in 2k....then 2 yrs later another strike..and still another 4 yr later...boeing had to do something since some of the airlines were getting really frustrated....boeing would cave in and work production didn't get any better...quality actually went down( don't ask how I know)....and thus boeing said decided with the reassurance of the union that the 787 was going to be built by the Washington facilities...boeing had other ideas..(thanks in part to Phil condit and harry stonecypher and ceo and cfo..2 idiots from GD)....phil and harry decided that the new airplane would be a plug and play airplane....other companies would build all the parts and we'd just plug them together....well...as history has shown, the quality of the parts have been a real issue and we've been delayed for 3 yrs.....all due to trying to get things cheaper and faster......so..we got tremendous orders for over 840 airplanes...all of the airlines are screaming for this new airplane....boeing said..ok..we need a second line...South Carolina came out with an incentive package to open up a second line there.....what is boeing supposed to do???...open another plant with UNION help and end up with a strike 2 yrs down the road and the entire production would stop.....
I'm for the union to die an ugly death......they are way over thier age...now look at them...thugs and idiots...for instance...the long shoreman of tacoma...watch that video....those guys were rude, crude and socially unacceptable....

just my opinion...but the days of unions and american pride in manufacturing are gone unless the union thugs can be shut down...

yep...I personally don't think it's right for the NLRB to dictate to a company on where they can open a manufacturing plant....that being said...this is more of the obamanation union thugary...

Whoa, SP... I couldn't agree more with you on the Union issue, but to take a chapter out of your own book: Keep it non-political on this forum (hope Bella isn't checking in!)

Just my thoughts...
