Happy 4th of July to everyone. Hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th however you celebrate it.
First the time in many many years I will not be on the Illinois river in my boat watching our fireworks display which is put on by the city of Peoria. It is the largest downstate fireworks display in the state. Nobody in a boat will be out on the river because the coast guard still has the river shut down because of high water and the water will not recede to a safe level for at least another 2 weeks.
So I have loaded up the jet ski on the trailer ( it was on a lift at the marina) today. Friday i'll take off to my son's house and go camping with his family in their 30' camper that happens to be by a very nice and big lake. Hope to have a great time with my granddaughter and spend
the weekend camping out in god's paradise.
