Default Golf fees

After watching the US Open this weekend congrats to Web Simpson. Just won 1,440,000 bucks for his efforts.

My question is what are the entry fees that theses pros have to pay to play theses tournaments?

Not that I want start playing golf....that would be too funny to watch .....really

I generally don't watch golf only cuz I extremely suck at the sport.......so...in reality I can't tell you what is what and who pays who.....other than they get a ridiculous amount of money to play.....

I believe their sponsors pay the entry fee.

"Google" says.... In 2011, the entry fee was $150.

But that sounds kinda low to me but, I'm not a golfer, I play Pool. Our US Open 9 Ball Championships fee is $500.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Do_PGA_gol...s_they_play_in

PGA Tour members do not pay entry fees to play in PGA Tournaments. Other nonmembers pay an entry fee of $400.
Also:
1) The Masters is by invitation only
2) No entry fee for the PGA Championship
3) Players pay an entry fee of $125 for the U.S. Open qualifying
4) An entry fee for the British Open is $162.
