I fish, but not from an Express Cruiser. It's very possible and people do it, but like all things boating; boats tend to be a compromise. Good fishing boats tend to make mediocre cruisers. Cruising boats make mediocre fishing boats. You tend to get into a fairly large boat before it does both well, IMHO.

I plan on fishing from my 2400 scr but just ME and maybe the wife. My fishing buddies will have to continue to fish with the charter boat captain to include me when we're going to FISH. I'm not cleaning up behind xxxxxxxxxxxxx

We(wife and I) fish from our cruiser, a lot.
I really like trolling, having a few cups of coffee, then some breakfast, etc.
Many benefits to fishing out of your own 28' condo, imo.
naps, bathroom and so on....
