Wanted: For 1998 28' SCR
Need a cabin entry door hatch for a 1998 Maxum SCR. Niece shut it too hard and it broke in half. Does anyone know where I can get one?
I haven't been able to find one on line.
Am hoping someone here can give me direction.
Thanks

I made my new door and hatch out of 1/2" starboard (color seafoam).
looks original.
just a thought.

starboard hatch/cabin door
when we bought our 2800 scr last year the oringial hatch and cabin door was already replaced with stained baltic birch plywood which was aging and we just didn't like the the look.
I replaced it with 1/2" king starboard in the color sea foam which is a good match to the gel coat.
I'm a cabinet maker by trade and the starboard mills nice with wooodworking saws and routers which make it easy to work with.
If you have the old door and can use it as a templete. clamp the door to a peice starboard and use a straight cutter router bit with a bearing guide (laminate bit). the bearing rides along the door and flush cuts the starboard for a exact match. it's easier on the router if you first rough cut the starboard about 1/4" bigger with a jig saw then flush rout it with the original door.
anyway hope this helps.

We used to be able to post photos right from the computer. now the forum is asking for a photo URL address. They must have changed it recently.
Not a biggie.
thanks, BB

On that screen asking for URL there should be another tab that allows you to browse your computer to attach files

I note that you're asking a question to a nearly 3 year old post.
Why not just contact the link posted (it still works) and find out from the fabricator?

Welcome aboard.
The folks on this old thread have not been around for some time so I would do as Jim suggest and contact the company on the link.
