The 'right' one, is when there are many and you're looking for the boat in the right condition for the right price. You're going to spend a lot of time waiting for ONE to hit the market and hope that it is within a realistic distance to transport, in good condition and in the right price point.
You are 100% right on the fact that life is too short, my plan is not to wait but actively look as I'm posting here, checking online making calls and inquiries around the East coast and having at least a couple more options in case I don't find a Maxum such as the Sundancer 48 and 500. I have definitely been without a boat for too long (a whole 3 months) Lol. You are right about low supply people are hanging on to their boats because of this pandemic what else is there to do right! Wish me luck! ;-)
The maxum line was discontinued in 2008 due to slow sales. Sales are slow for the very large boats to begin with. So in reality, your search criteria is for a boat of which 10's were made. over 2 years.
