Default Windless Type

I have a lewmar windless on my 1996 32 scr can not fine model number ,wanted to see what max chain size is for it . Anyone have a clue

The V700 is for boats up to 35' and uses 1/4 HT chain, not sure if this is what you have.

It will be the gypsy that dictates whether it will handle line rode only or a combination of chain and line. It will also determine the size and type of line and/or chain. Many models you can select the gypsy to accommodate your choice of rode.

The Lewmar size guide could put this as a V700 or a V1. I suspect it is a V700. The site includes guides to both the windlasses and gypsies and has PDF downloads as well.

its a v1-6 the motor is side ways ? Where is the part number on unit /???

The V series are vertical units while a sideways motor would be a horizontal.

Did you use the link shrew posted to compare to what you have.

A V1-6 sounds like a V1 (RC6mm) [Model #: 6671011196-138]
