Default Where are grease fittings on out drive?

Hello

2009 Maxum 2100 SC. 4.3 V6, Alpha Gen 2

I found the grease fitting for the gimbal bearing and gave it 3-4 shots of grease.

But I can't find any more- though I am fairly certain there are supposed to be another 2 at least. I looked through the PDF for the outdrive, but can't see pictures.

Is there only one grease fitting?

Also did not see one on the steering cable, even though the manual states there is one. Just ended up putting a bit of grease on the exposed shafts

The engine coupler has two grease fittings. Mercruiser eliminated other ones over the years. BTY while you have a fitting for the gimbal bearing newer bearings are lubed for life so if yours has been replaced with one adding grease won’t get to the bearing rollers as it doesn’t have the hole in it.

Hi. I have Bravo 2's so not sure if they're similar but the only grease fittings on the out drives are on the drive shaft ujoints. I consider the gimbal bearings part of the transom housing and not the actual outdrive.

Not all steering systems have grease fittings. You did the right thing lubing the exposed shaft.

Mike is correct about the gimbal bearing grease fittings. Usually the newer bearings come with a plug to replace the grease fitting but that doesn't mean the previous owner installed it. Look inside while greasing to see if any grease comes out of the bearing.

The back (or front I guess how you look at it) of the engine. It's where the drive shafts slide in.
