Default Whale Transom Shower Door Replacement

The door for the Whale shower on the swim platform is cracked and I would like to replace the door, but I am not certain of how to install the replacement door without damaging it. Does anybody have and guidance on how to replace the door?

So you were able to buy a replacement door?

Can you post a close up of the hing section on the main housing? I don't recall if there are screw in hinges or it just snaps in. I won't be back to my boat till next weekend but will look at mine then.

Maybe some else knows.

I will not be back to my boat until next weekend either so I wont be able to get any close up pics, but I did not see any screws. I am guessing it snaps in, but wanted to get a confirmation. I found the replacement door for $13.00, so I may just buy it and try to snap it in and then spend $120 or so for the whole unit if the door breaks during installation.

I think......it presses in to mount it and being very careful just snap off to remove.

Thanks for the info...I will get to experiment on the "being very careful" part when I remove what is left of the old door.

I was able to replace the door by removing the (6) screws that fasten the shower assembly to the transom and then the door pins slide out of the hinges toward the rear of the assembly. I will take pics and post them if my description does not make sense.

In order to replace the access door on the transom shower it is necessary to remove the (6) screws, circled in red and then pull the shower housing away from the transom approximately 1/2".
Now position the old door so that the hinge pivots on the access door move toward the transom and out the hinge pockets in the shower housing. Install the new access door in the reverse order.
