source for wiper arm?
I replaced the wiper blades on my Maxum 2600SE, and the wiper arm that holds the blade is corroded and it bent when I tried to put the new blade on.
I went to the local auto parts store, and they don't have a replacement. Does anyone know where I can get something like this?

Iceman............try google on this. There are different arms and they have special names for these. Just type in windshield wiper arms.
You might give a call to your nearest marine dealer if you have no luck. I had to replace mine on my 3000 and found it on line.
Good Luck
Roger

+1 what Roger said. On line, West Marine, ... Although you will probably only find the entire arm, from mount on motor to wiper and not just the pictured part.

Thanks Roger. I was able to find an online company called amequipment.com. It doesn't look like they sell just the part I need, I'd have to buy the whole arm, but if that's the case I'll do it.
Which brings me to my next quandary, how do I remove the entire arm? On a car there's usually a 13mm nut under some sort of cover, but it doesn't look like mine works that way. Here's a picture of that. I don't see any obvious way to remove it. I guess I can ask the company when I write them.
Tom
Mike: just saw your post, yes that's what I'm seeing.

Tom if you look/feel under it there should be a small spring clip that you need to pry away while pulling up. A mirror may need see this.

OK great tip Mike, thanks! I'll go out and check to see if that's what I'm dealing with. I'm sure I have some sort of tool to pull it back.

Glad to help all but rather be boating if the damn weather will break.

OK that was the trick, thanks guys. Got the wiper arm off, now I just need to find the right replacement.
I'd rather be boating also. We snuck in one trip back in Feb, but after that I had a punch list of 16 things to fix or address. I'm about halfway through the list, and well on my way with this one thanks to you guys!
