Default Replace water separating fuel filter on 5.0MPI.

I looked for the a schrader valve on fuel rail to release fuel pressure before spinning the filter off but didn't see it. Where is it at?

Not sure but I may be able to try and llok it up tonight.

Isn't the filter prior to the fuel pump? If so I would not expect it to be under pressure.

My spin on filter is ahead of the fuel pump. I just spin it off and spin on a new one with a light coat of oil on the seal.

Ok thanks. I was looking at the manual and it said to release fuel pressure so I thought I'd verify.

Even if it is under pressure there isn't going to be much volumn. Just loosen it very slowly at first.
