Dd this earlier this year on my 1997 2400SCR. I used a battery terminal puller. I also sprayed the joint with a little PB blaster.
Remove nuts off of both arms and spray. Let sit for a few minutes then use the puller. It took a few trys as the center of the puller slipped off the post of the motor a few times. Upon reassembly I used some never seize on the joints.
