first off..welcome to the zoo....second off...what you really need to do is find out what your WOT is....ie the max rpm range your boat is supposed to hit..
(WOT=Wide open throttle)..
so...with about 3/4 full tank of gas..nice calm water....one or two people....hit the throttle and see how fast your boat goes after you plane and trim it out....
so...on average your engine being carbed ..will probably run 4400-4800 rpm......if your over that...your under propped...if your under that range your over propped..
be aware that 1" in pitch change will cause a 200rpm change in the wot...

i have been doing some shopping around with my prop too.
living in holland and boating in a kind of swamp (biesbosch) the water level can differ in a few hours.
i only found out that the best prop was the one maxum initially mounted on the boat.
a 4-blade is more sporty but in the combination i have it only made it hard for the engine and dropped the rpm with about 500 on WOT
500 must be about 35 bhp
with the original one i make 4700 rpm on WOT and to speak in car therms: i have enough torque
but
whatever you take. stick to a aluminium blade.
better replkace a blade (€ 230) than have a engine rebuild
