Default Peace of mind

Peace of mind was wearing thin on my twin 454's with 350 hrs. and empellars with who knows how many hours. I bougth the boat about 2 years ago with 325 hrs on the twins. The last owner didn't know a lot about his boat but he even said "...change the empellars as soon as you can..." So, July 3rd was the day to end the worries once and for all. I had the kits and was ready for war with my cramped engine compartment. I paid about $29.00 each for the kits with gaskets and some wood, conical plugs for the inlet line so that I wouldn't get flooded out. I've posted some pics of the worn out empellars so that every one can see how little things like this can ruin your day of fun. Now, peace of mind is what I have until the inevitable next maintenance issue arises.

Yes indeed, talk about good timing! Ya caught them just before they started coming apart.
