Default Partial Carpet Replacement-4100 SCA (part 1)

In an earlier post I detailed and aft cabin water leak that was resolved with the replacement of the water tank sensor unit. One thing leads to another and given the carpet padding was soaked we decided to replace the carpet in the aft cabin, galley and v-berth entry. We decided on vinyl flooring. The worst parts of this project were the prepping of the flooring and the gluing process.

Saw all three threads ... looks like it went well. I'm 4 days into ripping out the original carpet throughout our 1999 4100 SCA. As you found, they carpeted the boat and then 'built' the bed/cabinets/stairs on top of the carpet - so we're just cutting as 'deep' under things as we can. Carpet was glued to the pad, and pad was glued to the deck. All carpet 'up' now wte of the little bit in the V-berth. Also not 'stripped' yet are all the hatches, the saloon to galley stairs (over the utility room), and the two stairs between the saloon and the aft cabin, which we just took out in whole and will hack away at separately.
