A prop shop should be able to repair yours or make a new one.

Prop shop should also be able to find a replacement shaft strut. It's a matter of the amount of drop, the angle, and the shaft size. I had a friend who had to replace one of his after a hard grounding. The shop found one for him. While the dimensions were right, the overall shape was different than his original. He had to replace both so they would match.

Down the road when it's time to sell, the next buyer will get 'red flags' if the two shaft struts don't match.

Not sure who made them for Maxum but the Maxum line was closed in 2009. Anyhow I doubt the supplier has any unless it used on a boat that’s currently in production. Not uncommon to need one custom made or find one close but not identical.

Maxum didn't make them. They are manufactured by a third party. You're going to need to go to a prop shop. They will be able to set you up. I see many boats, some manufactured in the 60's and 70's that bend props, shafts and struts every year. Replacing them, even on 45 year old Taiwanese and Chinese Trawlers that haven't been manufactured in decades, is never a problem.

This is like looking for a steel rim for your car. Match the dimensions and bolt it on.

Excellent!!! I'm glad it worked out for you. Like I was saying, I've never seen an issue sourcing shafts, struts, props or rudders. These frequently get damaged.
