Default Outdrive Leak

Folks, I am losing fluid from where appears to be through the peep hole on an Alpha Gen II...any ideas what the culprit might be????

Usually adding an ounce every trip out....fluid in the out-drive does not appear to be contaminated...its exhaling fluid not ingressing water that I can tell...lol

That's a water drain hole, it's either the shift shaft seal or the seal under the water pump leaking.

May be time to have the entire unit resealed.

The way you'd be able to tell is to let the drive sit for and don't turn over the motor for a few days. Then drain a very little bit of drive lube from the lowest drain hole. The lube should be lighter than water, so any water would drain out first.
