Unhappy Need help and guidence for Maxum 2400 SCR

Hi all,

I have just recently purchase a 1995 Maxum 2400 SCR and came into some problems that may some advice.

My heads (marine toilet) main drainage is leaking water into the cabin when i tried to wash the heads.

My fresh water pump to pump water doesn't seemed to be working. Any advice on how to go about?

Does anyone have the user and other manuals for 1995 Maxum 2400 SCR?

Thank you for reading. =D

andy welcome aboard.

Is the head leak raw water to the head for flushing or waste water that should be going to the holding tank?
You said leaking int the cabin, do you mean near the frig in the area by the mid-birth entrance and cabin steps?

Fresh water pump not working, when you turn on the switch at the galley does it light up red? Sign of power. If so then you need to check fo power a the pump which is located in the engine compartment. If power directly at pump but it isnot running then time for a new pump.

For a manual go the home page there is a link to one.

Hi mjjwr,

Thank you. It's waste water going to the holding tank located near the fridge by mid berth entrance.

There is sound coming out from the pump when switched on and the water tank is full but no water came out when i turn on the taps.

I downloaded the 2000 year 2400 SCR manual is it the same to a 95?

Thank you.

You will need to pull the frig to look for the leak but will probably need to replace the line from the head back to the waste tank.

Try disconnecting the output of the freshwater pump to see if it is pushing water. If it is the aerators at the faucets may be clogged. If no water check the filter on the input side to see if it is clogged else the pump is bad.

This model was made from 1994 till about 2003 with minor changes

Can I ask another question? Will a queen size mattress be able to fit into the aft cabin?

Don't really know, you will need to measure however that is a tight opening to this berth and mattress do not tend to fold well so I am not sure how you would get it in there. Some folks use memory foam to make the berths nicer.

FYI............I added some memory foam to our bed last year on our 3000. Had to do some carving with a utility knife. It was a three inch foam pad and made all the difference. The foam that is all ready there I would imagine you could take to an upholstery shop and get replaced with new. A queen size mattress is going to be very very heavy to put into a boat of your size.

I would re think this.

The OP has not been on the site since 8/30/2014 so I doubt you'll hear from him.
