My second boat was a 69 Bueller Jet boat. It was a closed bow 19 foot jet boat with a 440 Chrysler in it. The motor was in the middle position like a ski boat. When it was running good boy did it go...the motor thought gas was 29 cents a gallon (which it wasn't) drank it very fast! I had the boat for a year and it nickel dimed me to death. Sold it that following spring for a couple hundred more than I had bought for. As they say was one of the best days of my life when I saw that thing roll away from my house.
Ahhh those were the days!

Had a new one recently.
I installed remote oil filters on both engines. When installing one of the hoses on the adaptor under the starboard engine, i apparently didn't get the hose clamp up high enough over the barb.
On plane, 24kts. Oil alarm and engine shuts down. The hose had blown off and pumped all 5 qts of oil in to the bilge. And not just down. Up, left, fore, aft. It was everywhere.
Lesson. Double hose clamps on critical systems, and visually check them!

I was actually surprised it shut down. I thought the system was just alarms, but before I could even process what the alarm was and react, the engine shut down. Seems to be running fine now!
That wasn't my new engine, that was my old engine. Don't know if that makes it better or worse.

With electric fuel pump there is the OP switch that removes power if no pressure.
Somehow I thought both engine got replaced.
I know you did the transom also.

Ohhh! I forgot about the fuel pump. Okay, I feel a lot better now!
Replaced port engine, transom, both transom assemblies, and a bunch assorted other stuff.
