Default Mercruiser Top plate Lube Oil leak

I hope some one can help me.

I am workng on my In laws maxum 2900 SCR, They just had the Out drive replace and for soem unknown reson the top plate of the out drive will not stop leaking. Was there as gasket or an O ring that could have been left out, Maybe the Plate is warpped. Any help would be appreciated.

yep..there is a form fitting o-ring that fits there...it seals the top cap......

I don't have the part number but get the drive type and model ..call a local parts dept..they can get one for about 20 bucks..

You were correct, the small O ring was missing and for $7.00, I got it fixed.
