Interesting situation here, Leta is not a custom canvas shop. She cuts from templates. If his boat has been modified, or if it has deformed, stock tops won't fit. Who knows, maybe his boats arch was defective from the factory, and stock tops never fit. Also, if it is installed wrong that's out of her control too. I am not accusing nor defending anyone, just pointing out the interesting points of this situation.

Kevlar, yes it is interesting. I was not trying to point any blame, just that I would not be happy until I had a top that fit correctly. I do agree that there are lots of variables that will add to the situation.....

Thanks for the responses to my post about my top. I have no idea why the aft part didn't fit. She said my old aft top was not a custom to but the front was. I don't think the boat has been modified. We have it pretty tight on the arch and there is not enough leeway to reach the snaps on the port side. I'll probably just figure out a solution on my own/with local company. We're getting her ready for our first "big" trip in her. Planning to head from south GA down the Intracoastal. Not sure how far we'll go.

Kevkar7r, Might just do that.
We have not decided which marina to dock at, probably 2 nights.
Do you keep yours in the water?

I do. Mine is wetslipped at my house. Private dock. If you decide to come up the st. John's, the metro park marina downtown is free, just pay for power, about $8.50 per 24 hours. There are no restaurants or anything there but it's a quick uber to tons of different stuff. If you stay in the intracoastal, Beach Marine is very nice and has 2 restaurants on site. I have no idea how much they charge.

Got my NOS top on and the Leta windshield and sides. Fit ok. Nor ecstatic with the two different colors, but the price is right. Looks and fits way better than the old stuff!

I got the windshield, sides, and slant back for $1650 (she charged me $2050 by "accident" and eventually refunded). I had found an original top from 1997 for $65, which is why I didn't buy that from her, too...

thanks for the info. I have the original top, It's getting kinda thin. The windows are fogged over and hard so I have to decide what to do.

Kevlar7r, We chose Palm Cove Marina and will be here 1 or 2 nights. Will head south from here heading back after St. Augustine or Daytona.

Hello gentlemen.
I'm thinking about replacing the top on my boat, Leta sent me a list of parts with prices that will fit my boat (based on WIN).
But I'm a little confused, what from this list should I order so that the boat is covered on all sides?
Maxum 2400 SCR
Thanks
