Default Ladder Replacement. Panel Removal.

Hi All.
I need to replace the factory installed 1 step ladder that is on the bottom of the swim platform on my Maxum 1700 XR. In order to do this I need to access the bolts that are holding it on but I don't know how to get to them. I think that I need to remove a panel from the inside of the boat but I can't see how it is attached. Does anyone know how to do this or if not how to do the replacement the right way?

Any insight would be appreciated.

I'd try removing the speaker and seeing if you can reach in and find the screws holding that panel in place. You migh be able to get the job done through the speaker hole, but I'd bet that is a tight squeeze. There is rarely anything easy or accessible in a boat.

Thanks for the response Shrew. I've already gone down that road. I can't feel where there are any screws holding the panel on either top or bottom. And yes you are right, my arm is too short to access the bolts through the speaker hole.
Seams like such a simple task!

Is there any way to get the padding off? Maybe there are bolts underneath, but I wouldn't want to force it. Hidden screws are such a hassle.

That's it. I didn't want to break anything. I lookd for hidden screws/bolts but there is nothing that I can see. I thought that it might slide into place but that dosn't seem to be the case either.
